A white mountain goat with long hair blowing in the wind stands on a grassy hillside overlooking a body of water, with a stony mountain in the distance on the other side.

What's in the air?

Welcome to the OVERVIEW for the Week of January 12, based on my notes and interjections from the astrology forecasts of Chani Nicholas and Tanaaz of Forever Conscious. Read on for the the vibes of the week and how you might want to work with this energy for manifestation via reflection and journaling.

Unfuckwithable is Chani's word for this week.

3 things about this week, according to Chani:

  • Monday through Friday this week are excellent days to make connections with people, advance your relationships, and hatch a phenomenal plan. Let yourself think really big!

  • If there’s something you’ve been putting the finishing touches on over the past couple of weeks, it’s time to wrap it up, and release!

  • We just may find ourselves with the courage to have a challenging conversation.

It’s time to finish up the launch of whatever you’ve been feeling you want to get going in 2026. Last week was go go go - get things moving! This week is a bit of continuation from that phenomenal energy. We may get to see how some things are beginning to blossom and bloom. You might throw one or two more things in the mix, but we are wrapping up this phase of growth. This “brand new start” energy is just about over. (At least, until the lunar new year and astrological new year.)

Manifestation never stops though; what we're manifesting, and how intentional we are about it does. I find keeping my finger on the pulse of what's happening astrologically to be incredibly helpful.

In the week leading up to a New Moon is usually the time to whittle things down to their most essential. Get down to the most important points and details. Pare down to the bare necessities, don’t try to bring everything along with you for this next new beginning.

MONDAY through FRIDAY - We will see some very encouraging moments around what we’ve been trying to get off the ground. So whatever you identified (if you were with me for last week’s Astro-Meditation,) that you were trying to infuse with fresh energy, whatever you’ve been trying to bring forward in 2026 from the Solstice to now, is supported astrologically this week.

WEDNESDAY - Mercury opposing Jupiter brings excellent, mind-opening or mind-altering conversations, the kind that broaden your horizons. We might see things from a greater perspective which helps us solve some of our problems, shifts our thinking to an abundance mindset.

Jupiter and Venus come along to remind us that separation and lack are illusions, a lie that’s been sold to us. Jupiter helps us to feel abundant, Venus helps us connect, and if we connect with others, that makes us feel abundantly resourced.

And if we know how to connect and share, together we can be unfuckwithable! Imagine, if the masses shared their resources with one another, how unfuckwithable we could be, as a collective.

Jupiter, still in Cancer, is helping us remember that we need to have faith and put our focus in mutual care - for one another, our surroundings, the collective, our neighborhoods, communities, cities, towns. That’s what will bring the most abundance for All.

This is a good time to examine abundance from all angles, have conversations that help you parse out what it really is, what you want it to be, what it needs to be, and how to facilitate more of it.

Venus, planet of connection (and cure for supremacy) sextiles Saturn, putting the focus on longevity.

Draw / write:

What does / would sustainable abundance look like in your personal life?

What do you need to shift in relation to abundance?

How can you facilitate more abundance in your own life?

In your community?

How can you cultivate better long-term, solid connections?

THURSDAY - Venus, planet of beauty, connection, and love, trines Uranus for a fun spontaneous gathering.

SATURDAY - Venus travels from Capricorn into Aquarius which is very different energy, the feeling of a pivotal point.

There will almost be a before-January-19 and after-January-19 kind of energy. There will be a different tone, a lot more intense, probably a lot more complicated. (So get in what you can fit in during the week, Monday-Friday.)

Venus is about to conjunct Pluto, bringing our relationships through an underworld journey that could be quite transformative. (The relationship zone is going to go even deeper Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.)

Look back over the period from the Solstice to now.

Draw / write:

  • What areas of your life were you calling fresh energy into?

  • What have you begun to set in motion for manifestation in 2026?

  • What is the seed of wisdom you’ve gleaned over the past month that you want to take with you into the next cycle?

Also Saturday - Venus sextile Neptune - delightful, dreamy, romantic, maybe slightly delusional or deceptive. But also, the Sun sextile Saturn helps us take action that engenders stability and lets us truly shine. The Sun is also sextiling Uranus, giving us support for those spur of the moment moves we may find ourselves making.

Mercury, the microphone, also at the end of Capricorn, conjunct Mars, is feeling a bit tired, cranky, on edge. It may bring a bit of hostile energy. Definitely it’s time to assess what’s working, what’s not, what we need to finish.

Saturday into Sunday's theme, draw / write:

  • What are we wrapping up?

  • What is ending?

  • What do you want to overhaul?

  • What is the new beginning, the initiation for this year, the thing you’ve launched, that you now need to just take a step back and watch begin to form?

  • What is the tone going to be in 2026?

  • What are your bigger picture goals?

You don’t have to have all the answers now, it’s not the time for that, but let yourself be curious, daydream, explore what new possibilities might be available to you.

SUNDAY - The New Moon lands in Capricorn, one of its two most challenging placements, and being that she’s at the final degrees of Capricorn, she’s a bit tired. While often we’re using the New Moon to launch something or set it in motion, this position may bring more feelings of struggle than abundance, and in this case, last week really was the time for that new, set things in motion energy. This is the end of the lunar cycle, the end point of something, the rounding out of the ‘go forth & prosper’ energy.

Good day to rest & reset, not ruminate. Let yourself move your energy in a way that feels restful and easeful and even regenerative. This is a cosmic check-in point. It’s a good time to focus on what we need to uproot from our garden and how we want to prep the soil to create a solid foundation for what’s coming next.

Reflect on what you’ve learned over the past six months and distill down the message of wisdom you want to carry with you into this next lunar cycle.

Also, Mercury is sextile Saturn and Uranus, gifting us with a fresh perspective that may feel a bit more upbeat and bring some helpful conversations.

With this New Moon, Saturn & Neptune, getting ready to move soon from the final degrees of Pisces over to Aries, will emphasize this ‘closing’ energy, perhaps disrupting the fabric of our lives a bit and opening new portals of discovery for us.

In short, THIS WEEK -

It’s time to speak up. It’s a good time to see the essence of a situation in a very straightforward way, without sugarcoating the truth.

Clarify, for yourself, what’s really on your mind?

How do you really feel?

Are there resentments you’ve been holding onto, or things you need to clear up with others?

Capricorn can have a harsh edge at times, so take care to be to the point, communicate with integrity, and take responsibility, not only for what you’re saying, but also for your own well-being.

Remember, the sea goat has the advantage of being able to both swim the depths of the sea and climb the tallest mountains. This gives Capricorn an expanded perspective that no other animal has. As the Sea Goat can be very determined, but also sometimes feel stuck or like it doesn’t belong, you might ask yourself the following -

Draw / write:

  • Where are you limiting yourself?

  • What can you release that is keeping you sheltered from life?

  • How can you overcome your perceived shortcomings or a lack of confidence to unlock new potential?

  • What can you make space for that will encourage your growth?

  • What does it look like for you, and how would it feel, to take it one step at a time, and allow your best self to come forward?

Chani’s journal prompts for further reflection this week:

  • What’s currently working (or not) in your collaborations?

  • What books, trips, courses, or adventures seem extra alluring right now?

  • How good are you at saying the hard but necessary thing?

  • If you need practice, what skills can you develop to get better?

To RECAP -

Monday through Friday brings a lot of stimulation.

Connect and communicate with people, it’s the final push, the get-things-done-before-the-deadline energy.

Wednesday through Saturday placements work together in supporting whatever we’ve begun since the Solstice with lovely, energizing, spontaneous yet stabilizing energies.

Think back to what intentions you set around the Solstice and or New Year, what are the things you’ve been starting to get off the ground since then. This week is connecting some of the dots, charting the path forward for you.

Saturday may be a pivotal day with a more intense vibe, and it may complicate things a bit.

Then Sunday brings this closing energy. Time to begin something else.
