What's in the air the Week of May 18? It's a powerful, potentially life-changing time!

Remember, for something to grow, we need both the light and the dark....

MONDAY May 18 is a significant day!

Venus, planet of love, beauty, sweetness, cohesion, justice, unity, etc., moves into Cancer. Jupiter, the teacher, the planet of abundance, wisdom, prosperity, is at the end of Cancer right now; and from now until June 9, Venus will be moving towards Jupiter, which adds that special sweet sauce. Jupiter brings the rain, it makes things blossom and bloom gloriously.

Venus & Jupiter will make a perfect conjunction in Cancer on June 9.

That’s a magical day to come together, be tender and caring with yourself and those around you, and let good luck flow your way. Bask in Jupiter’s wisdom, prosperity, and ease while it’s in its sign of exaltation.

Lean into the Cancerian way, the parenting vibe of nourishing and nurturing, and especially, locally, right where you are.

Cancer represents the primordial waters, the womb, the holding, the safe place.

AND Mercury, planet of communication, sextiles Neptune, which is lovely for imagination, unconventional dialogue, paradigm shifts, and daydreaming… Let yourself fantasize about your next era, feel that energy…. (and if you’re seeing this after Monday, there’s no cutoff date!)

TUESDAY - Mercury squares the nodes, and this hints that there may be a decision on the table for us. A trine with Pluto may help us see the truth of the situation from a deeper and more insightful place. Take your time, weigh your choices carefully.

WEDNESDAY the 20th - Gemini season begins! The energy is gonna be hype, maybe weirder and wackier than usual….

THURSDAY - Venus in Cancer squares Neptune, another good day for entertaining your wildest daydreams (and give more thought to how you’ll spend June 9th).

FRIDAY the 22nd - wild card! Uranus cazimi. This marks the beginning of something, a spark, a seed of potential, a reordering of worlds, both personally and collectively. We may find ourselves in a period of flux and instability for the next 6 or 7 years, and we just have to remember that, change is always the constant, right??

Look at your own personal life, and ask, how is my own personal world being re-ordered and rearranged right now? How are my priorities shifting?

Sometimes we have to break down to break through, we know that. Hopefully we’ll be spared a breakdown, but there may be some chaos. The electricity might be of the tingly nature, or the shocking kind.

With Mercury sextiling Saturn the same day, that could bring some innovation with regard to communication, or some deep revelations on how to apply the medicine of this astrology.

SUNDAY - Sun sextile Neptune (warming up to Uranus) - this is enlivening energy, fire + air.

Imagine the sights & sounds when a fire gets a gust of wind, that’s the energy of this year - The Fire Horse. It might be exciting some of the time, but it’s also a lot of motion and not much grounding!

So that is our job right now - to get grounded, be grounded, gallop with your hair on fire for bursts, but then get grounded again.

Working up to June 9, focus especially on how you can ground into community, sustainable ecosystems, I’d say on the micro and the macro, and regenerative ways of living through the collapse of the Empire.

Ground into the land and people in your immediate vicinity, build your networks, decrease your dependence on the system by getting off grid as much as you can right where you are. Especially if you ‘own’ a home with a little bit of land - garden, grow what you can, catch rain water, convert to composting toilets and alternative power sources when/if possible… I’m not doing all of these yet, but I am working towards it!

We are still heralding in the Age of Aquarius, and more and more, we are going to need to be able to live more harmoniously with our great Mother Earth, or she will shake us off like fleas!

As above, so below, as within, so without.

The big changes begin with each one of us!
