The Last of the Liminal - Crossing the Threshold

What's in the air the week of March 16?

(For one, my Momma's birthday. Love you Mommy.)

It’s here!

Spring is springing, the astrological new year is upon us!

These are the last few days of the liminal new year space I've been referring to the past few months. While much of the Western world identifies January 1 as the date of the New Year, many folks, myself included, are aligned with nature's time and astrology.

So let's talk about THIS WEEK!

We have a confidence-boosting New Moon in Pisces on Wednesday, March 18th,

the final one of winter and the astrological year, and the official end of this eclipse season.

The Spring or Vernal Equinox (here in the N Hemi) is on Friday.

Mercury is going direct on the same day!

This is definitely the time to look back, reassess some things, wrap some things up, and make space for the new energy that's coming your way.

And! We have four other major placements in the sky this week as well.

- Pluto in Aquarius - Last time, 248 years ago, it was here, we had the American, French, and Haitian Revolution, and the Industrial Revolution (& the birth of the United States?). (Now we have Tech Revolution.)

- Neptune in Aries - Last time, 165 years ago, we had the Civil War, Reconstruction (which didn’t stick)

- Uranus in Gemini - Last time, WWII, a new world order, a restructuring of the world powers’ interactions

- Saturn - Neptune conjunction - Last time, 36 years ago, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the death of Iran’s previous Supreme Leader.

These were all in these signs in 2025, that’s why it felt like a game-changing year, and what began then is gonna dig in deeper now. Don’t just focus on the bad things that happened, the disastrous things that happened. Also, and especially focus on the good things that have come out of it, how people have galvanized to support their community members, the way more people are getting focused on community in general, the way, like in pandemic times, people have been recalibrating their priorities, energy, networks, and preparedness.

Neptune in Aries is about standing up for what’s right, true justice, fighting for our ideals.

It’s going to be here in Aries for a decade. The signature of some folks trying to say, "This is a holy war to save the souls of God’s chosen people," that tracks with this astrology.

Neptune, in addition to ideals, is also about delusions and fantasies. In Aries, it gets mixed in with war and aggression, but it can also be about using our imagination to fight.

Conflict between humans may be inevitable, but I absolutely do not believe violence is inevitable, innate, or necessary. Conflict can be useful, collaborative, and generative.

  • Let us remember that Creativity is one of our greatest weapons!

  • Does creative energy get 'air time' in your life?

  • What are some ways you might lean into your creativity more in this next year?

Let's talk for a minute about the Mercury Retrograde that’s slowing down this week to station on Friday.

Keep in mind, it’s still in the sign of its detriment and fall.

Communications, tech issues, planning, details - could still get a little worse before it gets better.

Hanging out by the North Node, it could be bringing some kind of important message to you and the collective, something may be revealed. (There is no coincidence to everything with the Epstein files coming out, so messy and incomplete, with rampant coverups, during this time with this messy ass Mercury Retrograde.)

There’s an overall feeling of being flooded with information that you can’t do anything with, you can’t put it anywhere, you didn’t necessarily even ask for it, but here it is in your face. The Merc Retro is actually going to back up into the N Node, go just past it, station direct, and move over it again. We may see a leak or an exposé before it's said and done.

WEDNESDAY - The New Moon, sextile Uranus, is about innovation, doing things in a new, interesting, even experimental kind of way.

At the end of Pisces season, it emphasizes that last-few-pages-of-the-book energy, wrapping something up, preparing to cross the threshold, and the satisfaction of handling the last few items of business to close the loop.

  • What could I initiate to help me make space perhaps in a soft and intentional way?

  • What feels like that last little item or two that will free you up to move on...?

  • What would make you feel a bit more alive, or reignite your inspiration a bit?

Remember at this time that you are a co-creator of your life, not a victim of fate.

Venus and Jupiter squared give us that confidence boost for our relationships and the ability to be creative and generative. They are co-rulers of Pisces, Venus being the exalted ruler and Jupiter being the traditional ruler.

Wednesday is a great day to finish something, maybe you create a clearing that allows space for the next seeds you're planting.

FRIDAY the 20th - Spring officially arrives! Remember the Equinox means that we have equal light and dark, and is always a great day to reflect on what is in balance, and what is out of balance.

In our Hemisphere, it's a great time for Spring cleaning rituals, moving things out of the home or space, clearing not just the things, but also the energy!

Open the windows, let fresh air flow through. Sweep, smudge, boil herbs in a pot on the stove.

Let the spring air add some wind under our wings, awakening our fighting spirit and courage to build something new.

Science has shown that the electromagnetic grid of the planet is at a higher harmony and rhythm around the Equinoxes and Solstices, so it's a great day for some extra grounding and charging up, get outside, be in nature, hug some trees, and connect with the Earth's Qi. Indoors, you can also connect with crystals, plants, the element of water by filling the sink or taking a bath, fire by lighting a candle, and the element of wind by watching incense smoke or smudge move through the space. You might even dance with it!

  • It is also said that the veil is thinner during the Equinoxes and thus, can be a great time for ancestor or shadow work as you may find access to the inter-dimensional realms with greater ease. Maybe you want to find your way into some channeling or moving meditation in your own private space.

There are a lot of fiery energies with this Equinox with seven cosmic bodies in fire signs. And the sun is moving from the end of the wheel, the waters of Pisces, into the fire of Aries.

Let's keep Recalibrating and moving that energy!

Friday is going to be a turning of the page for sure, an energetic reboot, the new chapter, or new story, where we start to clean up this fucking mess.

  • How might this show up in your life? Is there anything you should do to prepare?

  • Come to my Equinox event Friday night if you're free, in person, hybrid could be possible! Some meditation, contemplation, expression, art-making, and socializing.

SUNDAY the 22nd - Neptune cazimi the Sun, they’re at the same degree in Aries since Friday, through the 3-day Equinox stretch. This is seed-planting energy, dreaming the world into existence where Liberty and Justice truly are for all.

  • It's a good day for 4/8 breathing (in for slow count of 4, keeping it steady, breathe out from 8 down to 1) and daydreaming about the world we wish to co-create for the Collective, and what our role is, what are we co-creating for ourselves that is sustainable and generative and contributes to Personal and Collective Liberation.

Chaos can be easeful if you learn to surf the waves.

Stay focused on what actions you can take that might be useful right now.

Have your reference points, get an elevated perspective when you can,

Recalibrate, & Flow.
