Forget Perfection...

How are we faring?
We made it! We got through February and the first of week and half of March.
What's in the air for the week of March 9?
Last week we had the Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse in Virgo near the South Node, stirring shit up, helping us release - or lose - what isn’t serving us anymore.
Energetically, a blood moon eclipse can be like a full moon magnified by 10 or even 100.
Eclipses shake things up, expose new information, and give us an opportunity for a different perspective.
Remember, Virgo is ruled by Mercury.
We are still moving through this fantastic Mercury Retrograde.
Mercury’s moving through the underworld and bringing us messages from the subconscious, and while Mercury is going direct on March 20,
it won’t be fully out of the shadow until March 28.
We’re still in this big cosmic recycling energy.
To catch up further -
The U.S. and Israel have attacked Iran, right in the heart of eclipse season,
and it’s noteworthy that DT, the Yahu, and the Ayatollah were all born on the day of an eclipse (which apparently is very appropriate to being a malignant narcissist abuser).
The eclipse we had in Aquarius, on February 17, Lunar New Year,
was within about a degree of the Moon on the U.S.’s birth chart.
That impacts our feelings of security and wellbeing, and I know some of us are having some questions about that and how much we need to lean into our preparedness education.
Also, Uranus, planet of instability and change, squared that eclipse,
and the U.S.’s moon.
There’s a lot of chaos and disruption in the U.S.’s chart right now.
Drumpf is starting shit in Ecuador,
and it feels a bit like we’ve moved through some sort of portal, again.
We may be getting some forms of new beginnings,
but they may be a bit more disruptive than we’d hope for.
With that super powerful Feb. 20 Saturn-Neptune conjunction in zero degrees Aries,
the traditional ways of doing things may have been wiped out, in more ways than one.
Maybe this is like clean slate, starting from zero energy.
Not 'back to the beginning' but zero at the next level of the game.
The reverberations of that conjunction will be felt for a while to come.
Saturn will be in Aries until 2028, but the full rotation cycle that was initiated by the conjunction lasts until 2061.
Trust - there is a greater clarity and a consciousness shift ahead
that is going to be life-changing.
This is the time to listen to your intuition, your insights, the messages that come up for you, the synchronicities, the signs and signals from the Universe.
This theme will continue over the next few weeks.
There is a lot going on astrologically, way more than I could paraphrase here.
I strongly encourage you to lean in and go listen to some of our favorite astrologers,
about what’s been happening last week, this week, and what’s going on now.
My current favorites are Chani, Tanaaz @Forever Conscious, Daniel Colón @ColorWeCrazy, Leah Whitehorse, Dr. Jazz Nejat, & Dossevia @ScorpioMystique.
Who are some of your favorites?
My takeaways from the past few weeks:
Forget Perfection.
Let’s remember that holding ourselves (or others) accountable
is different than expecting perfection.
Yes, Virgo wants things to be perfect, or at least gorgeously aesthetic.
But we have to ask ourselves what is actually realistic?
Literally no one is perfect.
We can all just do our best, and try to be about our business, move efficiently and don't stress.
Take inspiration from Nature. Look around you.
Nature isn’t concerned with being perfect, that’s not a thing.
Nature is usefully efficient, everything has its place and its use,
its relationship to something else, nothing is wasted.
Remember that you are part of nature.
The S. Node placement of this Eclipse in Virgo seems to invite us
to let go of the clutter not only in our spaces, but in our being,
in our minds, in our energy fields!
It definitely is here to help us recycle those notions of being perfect,
because that doesn’t exist.
Yes, letting go of old perceptions, habits, and ways of being is hard,
but it makes space for new things, for growth!
It’s ok to grieve and mourn what we’ve lost, old versions of ourselves,
what we’ve outgrown, what we need to reckon with!
The Virgo energy is reminding us that the body is our temple, we need to support our wellbeing on the regular, even if that means we have to create some structure around that to make it happen.
Matriarchy is a big theme that’s coming up right now, and I don’t know about you, but I personally think letting women run just about everything would solve a lot of our problems! Center the people who have typically been marginalized, and that could turn a lot of things around.
In the meantime, direct some matriarchal, parental, nurturing energy towards yourself.
Remember that we’re still in the tail end of this liminal space of the new year,
we’re still in Pisces season which is the final sign on the wheel of the zodiac
before we spring into the new year with the vernal equinox on March 20,
and in this 12th zodiac sign, Pisces represents pre-form,
with Aries being like the newborn babe.
Back to THIS WEEK:
MONDAY the 9th - Venus, planet of beauty, art, culture, and relationships, sextiles Pluto, giving a nod to the value of deep friendships and power of connection.
This is setting the stage and creating small moments for bigger impact later in the year. Something may happen that connects forward to something that might continue or take place in July.
TUESDAY the 10th - Jupiter stations direct.
It’s been in Cancer since about June 2025, so you may want to reflect back between then and now, and just acknowledge with gratitude how much you’ve grown during this time in your life in the themes of home, emotional safety, capacity for love.
Jupiter, the greater benefic, the planet that brings abundance, is exalted in Cancer. Alot of ancient astrologers associated Jupiter in Cancer with local power, abundance, and impact, because Cancer is ruled by the Moon, which is our local planet.
It's a good time to ask yourself -
What are the ways you can act and serve and support others locally?
The Moon and Cancer are both associated with matriarchy, nurturing, parenting energy, protecting the vulnerable.
Jupiter the Lucky planet stationing direct can mean our luck, or something big in our lives,
is going to change, things may be shifting for the better.
Jupiter, all about the bigger picture typically expands things,
usually the good stuff, helping us see silver linings,
but when it is in retrograde, it’s more like a contraction,
so rather than zooming out, we may be zooming in.
Because it’s retrograding in Cancer, we may be finding ourselves zooming in on themes of home and family life, family patterns, mother energy, mother wounds.
Let us remember how to center Care and Community in a way that honors and nourishes ourselves as well.
We have another FRIDAY the 13th this week.
Then, SUNDAY the 15th, Mars conjuncts the N Node in Pisces. (Maybe the waters of Pisces will cool Mars off a bit! We don’t need more fight. But it might make us feel like we’re in hot water.)
Mercury ‘reverses’ into Mars and the N Node, perhaps sparking conversations that may be overheated or confusing, but important. It might even be that we get some news which is false, total bullshit, and even hostile. Mars and Mercury coming together can mean fighting words, and the N Node placement adds fuel to the fire, it may be something big coming up here.
Mercury retrogrades, especially this one, are not the time to rush into answering any questions, take your time.
Let’s remember the way we get through this is together.
We have to stand up to the bullshit, in whatever ways we can, with our dollars, with our boycotts, with our divestment, let us open the doors for the People to rise, and for a new way of living on this planet to emerge.
And remember that perfection is a patriarchal, white supremacist myth!
What has been, or is being, released, removed from your life, or being brought to closure?
What are the ways or areas of life you expect perfection of yourself?
How does it feel to banish expectations of perfection from your being?
“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”
