About the Event
This is a comprehensive, accessible program with real, practical tools to mobilize the healing power of your mind, reduce and prevent stress, and promote physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. This course is based on The Best of Stress Management model established by James S. Gordon, M.D. & colleagues at the Center for Mind-Body Medicine.
The “mind-body” approach to health means the ability to use the power of our minds to bring about healthy changes in our bodies, and vice versa, the ability of our bodies to create healthy changes in our minds.
You will learn techniques that have been scientifically validated to help you maintain good health throughout your life, including self-awareness, relaxation, meditation, journaling, exercise, and more. The tools you’ll learn through this program have all been shown to reduce stress and make a significant, clinically notable difference in the stress-related conditions that so many are affected by - hypertension, cancer, HIV, chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and more.
